Loake shoes are handmade using great quality, natural materials. The leather used is of the best quality from within Europe. The climate in Europe is best for breeding the best cattle, and therefore the best hides and skins for shoemaking.
So much attention to detail goes into creating a good pair of Loake shoes. In fact, there are around 200 operations in making a pair of Loakes. So those doing their job are dependent on those doing a previous operation with utmost accuracy.
It's all done by eye with no guides on machinery, which just shows the enormous skill of the craftsmen, who have great pride in the shoes they create.
Loake is a family business, now into its 4th and 5th generations who continue the family legacy, making the most handsome, durable and comfortable shoes they can.
