- Available to order
This is a quality scarf made from 100% wool. Descended from Somerled of the Isles, who ruled Mull and Lorne in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, the clan takes its name from Dugald, one of his sons. The clan played a key role in Scotland's history, most notably in helping to destroy an invading Viking fleet at the battle of Largs in 1263 and fighting in support of the great freedom fighter William Wallace during the Wars of Independence
The brief history of the clan is written on label along with the motto and crest.
