This material is made from 100% wool. The name comes from a Gaelic expression signifying 'son of grace', and the clan originally hailed from Beauly, near Inverness. They established themselves in Kintail, in Ross, in the middle of the fourteenth century, and were later appointed as Constables of Eilean Donan Castle, on Loch Duich.

The brief history of the clan is written on label along with the motto and crest.
