- In stock
This material is 100% wool. Ayrshire and Galloway in the south west of Scotland were for centuries the main stamping ground of this clan whose name derives from the biblical 'Michael', signifying 'With the likeness of God',. It is thought the name may first have been introduced to Scotland by those Anglo-Norman baron who settled there in the twelfth century at the invitation of David I.
The brief history of the clan is written on label along with the motto and crest.
